In regards to 6.5 Swede.
"It was received on Friday and it looks great (considering what you had to work with). I will keep you in mind
for another project maybe next year. Thanks again."

The Tweed has arrived!! Looks GOOD. Can't wait to get it put in a stock and hit the range. That bolt
handle is very nice.
Good job folks!!! I have two more 98/22's ordered so you may have some more work to do.
Thank you,

Fred did an excellent job making a "Camel Carbine" out of my Yugo M48. The finished product reflects the care and
excellence in workmanship that is so typical of Fred.
I've had a lot of comments on the rifle. Everyone who sees it "wants one of those". It is about the handiest
deer rifle I have ever seen. Thanks for a great job.

Phoned today with general (silly) questions about sporters and different calibers, etc. I could NOT have been treated
better or had more fun. What a joy!! Thank you!

I wanted to let you know that I got my argentine on Friday. I broke in the barrel today and am very pleased with
the results. During the break in process I shot two 1" 4shot groups, one of which had a 1/2" three shot group, all at
100 yds. My shoulder is sore and bruised, buy my barrel is broken in and my scope is zeroed. You especially did
a good job polishing the barrel. I saw what is looked like before, and it was rough, now it has a mirror finish, nice
touch. I had heard a lot about the A&B barrels fouling, but this barrel had very little fouling in it when I used
the copper solvent. Nice job done on time, Thank You,

I thought I would send this e-mail to let you know what an excellent job you did in building my VZ-24 Mauser with the Shilen
barrel, chambered in .300 Win Mag a few months ago. You might not remember it; it had the laminate wooden stock from
Richard's Microfit. Not only was the workmanship first rate, but it shoots five shot groups into 0.75 inch groups at
100 yards, with my best handloads (H1000 powder and Barnes bullets). Fine work, I will shortly be sending you my Winchester
Model 70 to be rebarreled.
Feel free to use this in your testimonials section if you wish.
Best regards,
Steve Heller
Regarding Fred, yep I know him. I'd consider him one of the best friends I've ever
had. A real good guy. Honesty, integrity, these words echo what Fred is all about. Fred built me a Winchester model 70 last
year in .223. He also put a nice Redfield scope on it as well. Is is sweet. Probably the finest rifle I've seen, much less
shot! He also sporterized one of my Turkish Mausers that I wanted to keep in 8mm. He hot forged the bolt, shortened the barrel
to about 24", crowned the barrel, test fired it (to make sure the headspace is OK), drilled and tapped it for a scope, and
then hot-blued it for me. I'm also fortunate in that I've seen many of the other barreled actions that he's made recently
in many different calibers. Each piece that he creates is a work of art in it's own. He is truly, an artiste! I've also been
fortunate enough to go deer hunting w/Fred as well. One shot, one kill. Fred knows all aspects of the hunt. From rifle types,
calibers, bullet weights, powder charge, muzzle velocity, scopes, camouflage, the list goes on and on. He can definitely talk
the talk, and then walk the walk.
Sincerely,
Fred & Jane,
Fedex delivered my barrel and action this afternoon and I unpacked it and found
to my delight that you do SUPERIOR WORK!!! I am extremly pleased with the work you did for me! I had very little work to do
to fit it back in the stock I had already bedded for the other barrel, and it fits like a glove. If it will shoot any where
as nice as it looks I will be able to drive tacks at 300 yds!! I will recommend your shop to everybody I come in contact with!
Your lovely wife Jane kept me informed all along the way , elimentating any questions I could of ever had. I want to thank
you again for the very superior work you did for me!

Just a note to let you know that I am very impressed with the 6.5x284. I knew the
cartridge would perform but the gun shoots better than I expected and I'm getting better with it everyday, half inch groups
are common. The action was well done and the bedding job was the best that I have seen. I've told everybody and they all want
one.
Thanks a bunch, Jason Buckles

It is BEAUTIFUL!!! The stock is gorgeous and the level of detail work(jeweling the bolt, the bolt release, even the magazine
follower) was completely unexpected but very much appreciated.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind rifle. As soon as I buy some rings and get the scope mounted, I'll be out shooting
groups and taking pictures.
Thank you so much. This is more than I expected and everything I hoped for.

Hi, Fred,
I just wanted to thank you and Jane for my Siamese Mauser Conversion to 45-70. As you can see from the attached
target, this rifle is shooting very well. Anyone thinking you cannot get a one inch group with 45-70 should think again.
The target was shot with the cut down and bedded original military stock. While this original stock is uncomfortable,
the target speaks to its performance. As they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words." I have no doubt when
you finish with sporterized stock this gun will easily shoot sub M.O.A. I know a lot of 45-70 shooters. I've never
seen a better group than this. Please feel free to add this to the testimonials on your web page. I'll send you
more once the sporterized stock is completed.
Thanks Again. I'm very happy with my 45-70 bolt action dream gun.
